Reghan and Pat said I do in Des Moines with a reception held at The Loft. Even Ronald the Dalmatian made it to the party!

Reghan and Pat’s Des Moines wedding was so beautiful and greatly anticipated. Their original date in April had to be pushed 4 months into the future due to the pandemic. They handled navigating new norms and regulations with grace and embraced their day as it was going to be - simply BEAUTIFUL!

Annie’s Easel Photography was so excited to be their Des Moines wedding photographer of choice at the lovely The Loft DSM. Every spot and detail was beautiful to capture!

Two years married!

We traveled to Duluth Minnesota and Madeline Island, Wisconsin to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary.

We packed our bags and cooler and drove to Duluth, Minnesota for a weekend trip to celebrate 2 years of marriage. We are easily entertained by scenery and exploring together so this trip was a perfect way to celebrate us.

I keep a travel sketchbook and I find myself always doodling and photographing when we are exploring so I thought I would share some of my findings with you. At the bottom of this post is our weekend ‘itinerary’ of what we did each day.

Day One:
Drove to Duluth, Minnesota - Explored the area and snapped sick pics. Grabbed a pizza and wine and watched the sunset on the beach outside our hotel.

Day Two:
Drove to Bayfield, Wisconsin - took the long way and made plenty of stops at all the pretty spots. Saw the delta “mouth” of the river meeting Lake Superior. Cooked a yummy pasta dinner at our Airbnb.


Day Three: OUR ANNIVERSARY!!
Packed lunches & backpack beers. Took the ferry from Bayfield to Madeline Island. Rented fat tire bikes and explored the island. Watched the sunset at the beach by our Airbnb with a whiskey and licorice for dessert :)
